Among Cigarettes and Brandy

Last weekend, Mr Common Sense told me that sooner or later everyone gets what they deserve and therefore I should not expect kindness and a warm welcome from somebody whom I had mistreated. He suspected that this was my turn to suffer from indifference because very probably I was not special for that boy anymore.
It was hard to accept what he said, but now I think it is true. In fact, I do not know for sure. I´m rather confused.
